DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson scored four times in the second half and defeated the Massachusetts men's soccer team, 4-1, at Alumni Field on Sunday.

The loss drops UMass (2-14-1, 1-5-1 Atlantic 10) four points behind eighth place with one game remaining and out of contention for the A-10 Championship Tournament.

After a scoreless first 57 minutes of play Sunday, the Davidson offense was able to break the UMass back line with three goals in 17 minutes, including two from George Kaloudis.

UMass' goal came at the 76:15 mark when sophomore Carlo deMarco sent a blast from just inside the box past Wildcat backup goalie Andrew Kenneson. It was the first career goal for the sophomore from Malvern, Pa.

The Wildcats (9-2-4, 3-2-1) scored their final tally in the final minute on their Senior Day.

Ryan Buckingham made four saves for UMass.

UMass will conclude the 2014 season at home against St. Bonaventure (1-14, 0-7) next Saturday, Nov. 8. Kick off at Rudd Field is set for 1 p.m. The game will be the final contest for senior standouts Matt Keys and Josh Schwartz.
