AMHERST, Mass. - After suffering its first loss of the season last weekend, the Massachusetts men's soccer team will look to reenter the win column at Hartford on Wednesday night. Kickoff at Al-Marzook Field is set for 7 p.m.
The Minutemen bring a 2-1-1 record into the contest, which is the second of four-consecutive road games. UMass lost at Adelphi 1-0 in double overtime on Sunday, allowing the game-winning goal in the 108th minute.
Hartford is 3-3 and has won three of its last four matches with wins over Fordham, Central Connecticut and Penn. The Hawks defeated the Quakers, 2-1, in Philadelphia on Sunday and are returning to campus for their second home game of the year.
Hartford leads the all-time series 14-7-1 and has not lost to UMass since the Minutemen's College Cup season in 2007 - a span of three games. The Hawks claimed a 1-0 victory in Amherst last season when they scored in the 39th minute, eventually outshooting the Minutemen 13-10.
UMass will travel to New Hampshire (3-2-1) on Saturday night. The game with the Wildcats at Bremner Field is set to begin at 7 p.m.
