AMHERST, Mass. - Women's swimming sophomore Katie Arnott was named co-UMass Athlete of the Week following her performance in a 170-122 win over Army. This is Arnott's first weekly recognition of the season. She will recognized for her efforts at the UMass Sports Luncheon on Wednesday at noon in the Massachusetts Room at the Mullins Center.

The Suffern, N.Y. native was a dominant force in the pool for the Minutewomen in their victory over Army. She took two individual first place finishes in both the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke, while also finishing just .02 seconds off the leader in the 200 IM.

Arnott also played a hand in the 200-yard medley relay bringing her team into first place in the breast leg of the race with an impressive split time of 30.53.

The Minutewomen will be back in action following a week of training on Friday November 2 as they travel to Binghamton University to take on the Bearcats in a two-day dual meet. The meet is set to kick off Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and resume Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
