Chris Inglis Named USA Swimming Scholastic All-American

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass freshman swimmer Chris Inglis has been named a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, as announced by USA Swimming last week. This is the second straight selection for the Mashpee, Mass. native, who will begin his career with the Minutemen when UMass takes on Boston University on October 16.
Each year, USA Swimming recognizes its members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event.
To be eligible for this recognition, swimmers must have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade and must be a USA Swimming member athlete. 1539 men and women made the SAA team for 2009-10. This included 919 women and 620 men.
