Minutewomen In Second Place After Day 2

RJ Rapp takes first place in the 1-meter diving event in record fashion as the Minutemen hold onto first place after the second day of competition in the Atlantic 10 Championships. The women's team faltered as Richmond, the defending champs, came through with a strong performance. The Minutewomen find themselves in second place, 83 points behind Richmond.
RJ Rappe had the best showing of the day for the Minutemen as he won gold in the 1-meter diving event with a total of 631.50 points. This total set a new A10 record. Evan Swisher placed second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 150.29. Juan Moliere finished third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.04 seconds. In the 200-yard freestyle relay the team of Evan Swisher, Trevor Ziegler, Nate Bromage, and Juan Moliere finished second for the Minutemen with a time of 1:22.22. The men's team finished the day with 246 points.
On the women's side the best finish of the day came in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Allison Volpe, Nicole LeBarge, Kathryne Chalikis, and Liz Lovejoy finished third with a time of 1:35.89. Despite the tough day in the pool for the Minutewomen, they still find themselves within striking distance of Richmond. The Minutewomen have a total of 201 points, while Richmond now has 284 points.
