Cary, N.C. - The record setting for the UMass men's soccer team ended in the national semifinals at The College Cup in Cary, N.C., as the Minutemen were beaten by Ohio State, 1-0. Eric Edwards had the games only goal for the Buckeyes. Zach Simmons made six saves for the Minutemen. The Minutemen finish the season at 17-8-1. Ohio State, now 17-3-5, advances play Wake Forest in Sunday's championship game.

Edwards scored the games only goal in the games 52nd minute after Simmons stopped two shots, but Edwards kicked in the rebound for the Buckeyes who make that goal stand up.
