UMass (1-1-0) at #12 St. Lawrence (2-1-0)

• UMass is now 3-2-0 against St. Lawrence all-time. Tonight's win is the first time the road team has won in the series.

• Head coach Don "Toot" Cahoon is now 8-11-3 in his coaching career against St. Lawrence ... in his career at UMass (8th year) he is now 102-132-22 ... in his overall career (21st year) he is 282-301-58.

• UMass is now 35-158-16 against ranked opponents with a 15-77-7 road record in those games.

• UMass is now 32-60-4 all-time against ECAC teams.

• UMass is now 484-673-70 in 76 years of intercollegiate hockey.

• The line of James Marcou, Brett Watson, and Alex Berry started at the forward positions. David Leaderer and Justin Braun started on defense, while sophomore Dan Meyers made his fourth career start between the pipes.

• Fenton, Kostka and David Leaderer are the three current Minutemen who have played in over 100 career games. Fenton has now played in 114 games, Kostka has played in 109, while Leaderer leads the team with 115 games.

• Freshman Brian Keane made his collegiate debut for UMass notching his first career goal in the second period.

• Alex Berry scored his first goal of the season in the first period - the ninth of his career. It was also his first goal in two games against St. Lawrence.

• James Marcou and Brett Watson assisted on Berry's goal. For Marcou, it was his first career point at UMass, while the assist was the fifth of Watson's career.

• For the second consecutive game, Cory Quirk tallied an assist giving him 25 for his career ... he now has 46 career points moving him into a tie for 46th-place on the all-time points list with Lonnie Avery (1970-73; 19g, 27a).

• Will Ortiz's penalty shot in the second period was the first of the season for UMass ... Kevin Jarman was the last to attempt a penalty shot (vs. Boston University, Jan. 27, 2007) ... the last Minuteman to score on a penalty shot was Jeff Turner vs. UMass Lowell on Feb. 6, 2000.

• Chris Davis scored his 18th career goal with a short-handed tally in the third period - it was his second career short-handed goal ... Davis' first career goal came at St. Lawrence in his first collegiate game - Oct. 14, 2005 ... his previous short-handed goal was scored on Jan. 28, 2006 at Boston University.
