KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island senior forward Melanie Kasparek scored her tenth goal of the season en route to the Rams' 2-1 victory over Massachusetts in Atlantic-10 women's soccer action Saturday.

URI (7-4-1, 3-0-0) remains undefeated in A-10 play, while handing Massachusetts (5-6-1, 2-1-0) its first conference loss of the season.

Sophomore midfielder, Thorunn Jonsdottir scored the Rams second goal with 12:26 left in regulation on a free kick from 20-yards out.

Massachusetts put its point on the board nine minutes later on a penalty kick from Lindsey Bellini. The senior is 2-2 on penalty kicks this season.

The Rams outshot the Minutewomen 20-11 with a 14-5 shot on goal advantage.

Ria Carroll, senior goalkeeper for the Rams, picked-up her seventh win of the season with four saves on the day.
