Men's Soccer Downs Temple, 1-0 In Overtime

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Freshman Obie Gravely (Richmond, Va.) scored the game winning goal, 8:56 into sudden-victory overtime, as the University of Massachusetts men's soccer team defeated Temple, 1-0 this afternoon in Atlantic 10 soccer action at Temple Stadium. UMass improves to 7-3-2 overall (3-0-1 A-10), while the Owls fall to 1-9-0 overall (1-1 A-10).

Gravely scored the game-winner on a bicycle kick off a pass from senior Patrick Beattie (Mobile, Ala.). Junior goalie Bryan O'Quinn (Feeding Hills, Mass.) made four saves for the Minutemen, while Temple goalie Drew Moser stopped eleven shots.

The Minutemen return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 11, when they travel to Harvard to take on the Crimson at 3:30 p.m.
