Dowiak on Curry: As we got to know Ella, we immediately identified her as a player that would suit our style of play, and the more we got to know her the more excited we got about her being what we think can be a very big impact very early in her career. She’s a fantastic midfielder, she can run back to the box, and she is one of the fittest players we have come across. She is also a very responsible player. Whatever role she’s been asked by any of her club or high school coaches, whether it’s a more defensive or attacking focus, or the workforce type of mentality she fills every role at a great level. She’s productive offensively but also fearless when it comes to how she protects her backline and puts pressure on her opponent.
