University of Massachusetts women's basketball graduate assistant and former team manager Michael Patterson enters his fourth consecutive season assisting the program in its day-to-day operations in 2015-16.
"I am thrilled Michael Patterson will continue to work with our program while advancing his studies," head coach Sharon Dawley said. "Mike loves UMass. He attended the Isenberg School of Management while serving as our undergraduate team manager, so he knows the ins and outs of our program and this University. He is respected by all who come in contact with him and he brings a positive 'can do' attitude with him to the Mullins Center each day. Mike is one of our program's most valuable assets.”
A 2015 graduate of the University of Massachusetts with bachelor degrees in sport management and finance, Patterson helps in numerous aspects of program activity, including video coordination, practice and game day setup and operations, travel logistics and other team necessities as they arise.
Patterson, who traveled extensively with the Minutewomen during each of the last two seasons to facilitate team management, is the son of Aaron and Michelle Patterson and hails from nearby Ludlow, Massachusetts. As a graduate student, Patterson is pursuing a degree in continuing education.
