MLB Draft: Selected by the New York Mets in the 30th Round (No. 898 overall) of the 2019 MLB First-Year Draft on June 5, 2019 ... Signed and made his professional debut in the New York-Penn League with the Brooklyn Cyclones on June 15, 2019.
Career Notes: Four-year member of the squad and three-year ace ... Wrapped up his UMass career with a 3.47 ERA and 15-18 record ... Graduated in possession of multiple program records, including career starts (48), innings pitched (311.1) and strikeouts (247) ... Was the 57th Minuteman to be drafted all-time and the first since 2014 ... Spent the Summer of 2017 and 2018 in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League ... His first campaign on the Cape saw Lasko as a member of the Chatham Anglers, before he suited up for the Bourne Braves in 2018 ... Led the Atlantic 10 Conference in innings pitched (88.1), complete games (4) and shutouts (2) plus ranked tied for fifth with 82 strikeouts ... Had seven quality starts ... Held opposing batters to a .236 average ... Collected a season-high 11 strikeouts in only 5.2 IP in a 2-1 victory over Central Connecticut in the season opener (2/23) ... Picked up his first win of the season with a complete game shutout at Navy (3/2), allowing five hits, no walks and striking out eight ... AS A JUNIOR IN 2018: Made 12 appearances as the Friday starter, finishing 5-4 with a team-best 2.52 ERA, three complete games and 63 strikeouts over 82 innings ... Went the distance to wrap up the season at Saint Joseph’s (5/17), picking up the win with a career-high 10 strikeouts, no walks and one run allowed on three hits ... Struck out seven through 7.2 innings, picking up the win at Stony Brook (5/5) ... Took the tough-luck loss in the opener at George Mason (4/27), despite a complete game and six strikeouts ... Was responsible for two runs on nine hits ... Picked up his third win of the season with a five-strikeout complete game vs. La Salle (4/20) ... Struck out four and allowed just one run over eight innings in his start vs. St. Bonaventure (3/30), recording his second win of the season ... Went five innings in the Richmond series opener (3/23), surrendering three earned runs on nine hits and three walks, striking out four ... Threw seven innings in game one of a double header vs. Davidson (5/18), striking out eight ... Started as pitcher in game one of a double header vs. Fordham (5/12), allowing no runs and striking out seven in nine innings ... Pitched seven innings in game one of a double header vs. Rhode Island (5/6), striking out five ... Started as pitcher against Dayton (4/28) striking out three in seven innings...
