AMHERST - Nathanael Hasselbeck, who announced May 28 he was leaving Boston College, has landed at the University of Massachusetts, coach Don Brown said yesterday. Hasselbeck, a 5-foot-11-inch, 196-pound defensive back and special teams player, is the brother of NFL and former BC quarterbacks Matt and Tim Hasselbeck. . .

AMHERST - New University of Massachusetts coach Don Brown's defensive line got a little bigger as former Ball State defensive tackle Justin Schweighardt has transferred to UMass. The 6-foot-1, 265-pound Schweighardt, who has two years of eligibility left, played in 11 of the Cardinals' 13 games last year. He started four games and made 13 tackles (three for losses) and one sack. . .

After weighing his options carefully and mapping out his future this past summer, Tuetken signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Massachusetts on a partial baseball scholarship. . .
