AS A JUNIOR IN 2020-21
Spring 2021: Finished third in the Second Varsity 8 ‘B’ Final at Overpeck Park (4/11, 7:02.6), rowing five seat … Crossed the finished line with a time of 7:41.219 for third place in the 2V8 at the Charles River Basin (4/18) … Raced the 2V8 to third place at the Charles River Basin (5/1, 8:15.790) … Part of the 2V8 crew that finished fourth (7:20.192) at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/15).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2019-20
Fall 2019: Was a member of the active roster, but did not see competitive action during Fall 2019.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2018-19
Spring 2019: Clocked in second (7:31.099) in the Third Varsity Eight at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/18) ... Won the Single Petite Final (8:16.238) by open water at the Dad Vail Regatta (5/11) ... Finished fifth (7:40.70) in the Third Varsity Eight Grand Final at the Knecht Cup (4/14) ... Third (8:25.14) in the 2V4 Petite Final at the Doc Hosea Regatta (3/30) ... Won the 2V8 final (7:06.27) at the Cooper Sprints (3/24).
Fall 2018: Clocked in a time of 19:18.359 in the Club Fours at the Head of the Charles (10/20), finishing eighth ... Was fifth in the Single final (8:50.61) at the Small Boat Challenge (10/7).
Hlachova on UMass: "UMass has an incredible linguistics program; that was what drew me to the school in the first place. The rowing community and available facilities are just as incredible. The welcoming and helpful nature of the coaches made me make the final decision to truly come to UMass."
Before UMass: Previously rowed with VBK Lipno in Lipno and Vltavou, Czech Republic ... Coaches were Vaclav Chalupa and Iva Uhlova.
Personal: Daughter of Jiri and Petra Hlachova ... Has one sibling, Jan ... Was born in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic ... Enjoys reading, hiking and visiting art galleries ... Intends to pursue linguistics as an academic major.
