Massachusetts Track And Field Secures 33 On Academic All-MAC Teams

UMass had the second most Academic members in the conference
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Univeristy of Massachusetts track and field programs landed a combined 33 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC Teams, as announced by the Mid-American Conference.
Riley Cole, Godot Gaskins, Collin Catherwood, Alec Carew, Liam Ouellette, Michael Harden, Aaron Fishler, Colin Kirn, Michael Sanchez, Mark Sten, Jason DeJesus, Winston Lewis and Kailas Ciatto, earned the honors for the men's program.
Ainsley Hileman, Bridget Lee, Leila Metres, Jana De Raedt, Jennifer Williams, Simone Harrison, Rylee Davis, Leann Lombardi, Anna Shaw, Anna Todd, Madelyn Bishop, Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio, Jaliyah Burns, Anna McElhinney, Marielsa McBride, Maia Perillo, Natalie Krysta, Megan Frazee, Jillian Strynar and Eve Segal landed on the women's program.
UMass had the second-most members placed on the team, behind only Kent State with 38 members.
The Academic All-MAC distinction honors student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding dedication to both their academic and athletic pursuits. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 and participate in at least 50% of their team's competitions during the season.
