Nestrašil Nabs Hockey East Rookie Of The Week Recognition

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey freshman forward Václav Nestrašil has been selected as the Hockey East Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday. It marks his second honor of the season and 12th weekly award for a member of the Minutemen this season.
Nestrašil played a pivotal role in UMass' 4-1 win over Northeastern in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The Prague, Czechia native finished the contest with a goal and two assists, setting up Minutemen's first two goals of the afternoon and then scoring an important insurance tally in the third period that put UMass up by two. He finished with four shots against the Huskies and was +2 on the day.
