Massachusetts Received Six First Place Points

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team landed first in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The Minutewomen earned 48 points and six first place votes among coaches as the squad prepares to embark on their first season in the MAC.
 
The Minutewomen finished the 2025 season 15-4 and going 10-0 in the A-10, defeating Saint Joseph's in the A-10 championship, 15-4, and earning their 16th all-time NCAA Tournament berth.
 
Head Coach Jana Drummond and attacker Kassidy Morris each received recognition as part of the 2025 Division I Women's Lacrosse ECAC Awards. Drummond claimed Coach of the Year while Morris earned an All-ECAC Team nod.
 
This spring, Morris was tabbed an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American by USA Lacrosse. As a redshirt junior, Morris finished sixth nationally in goals (78), goals per-game (4.11) and third in shots on goal per game (7.11). The 2025 Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of The Year, Morris was 12th nationally in points (101) and 13th in points per game (5.32). Morris led the A-10 while ranking fifth nationally in shots per game (9.00). She enters the 2026 campaign with 218 career points on 173 goals and 45 assists over 57 contests.
