- Massachusetts has faced Toledo four times, with Toledo leading the all-time series 3-1.
- The teams first met on January 27, 1962, with the Rockets earning a 77-47 win in Toledo, Ohio.
- Massachusetts and Toledo played again in Toledo on December 3, 1979, with the Minutemen falling 84-74.
- The lone win in the series for Massachusetts came on December 15, 2007, 68-61 at home with Gary Forbes (25 points) and Ricky Harris (17 points) combining for 42 total points to lead the Minutemen.
- The two teams met most recently during the 2008-09 season, with the Rockets coming away with a narrow 57-56 win on December 3, 2008 in Toledo.

Scouting the ROCKETS
- Toledo is coming off an 87-84 loss at Kent State heading into Tuesday evening's contest.
- Rockets Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk is in his 16th season at Toledo, accumulating a 306-204 (170-103 MAC) overall record during his time in Toledo.
- Sonny Wilson leads the team in points, averaging 17.4 per game (314 total), ranking fifth in the MAC.
- Sean Craig has a team-high 146 rebounds (8.1 per game) which ranks third in the conference.

Year Four Under Coach Martin
- Massachusetts basketball enters its fourth season under head coach Frank Martin in 2025-26.
- Martin and the Minutemen finished the 2024-25 season with 12 wins, including seven in conference play. Under Martin's tutelage guard Rahsool Diggins had a breakout senior season, averaging a team-high 16.8 points on his way to earning All-Atlantic 10 Third Team honors.
- In 2023-24 Martin led the Minutemen to their best season since 2014, finishing with a 20-11 overall record and securing a top-four seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
