Megan Frazee’s Record-Setting Performance Claims Gold at Day One of A-10 Outdoor Championships

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team had a record-breaking first day of the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships on Friday, sitting in first place with 45 points as three student-athletes medaled and eight scored points in Fairfax, Va.

- Megan Frazee took gold in the women's pole vault clearing a bar of 13'6.5". Frazee also claimed the program record that had previously been held by teammate Chloe Taylor when she jumped 13'1.75"back on April 5. Taylor claimed silver with a clear of 13'0.75", and Maia Perillo had the seventh-best jump with a height of 12'0.75".
- Ainsley Wiesner claimed bronze in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 180'5".
- Aaliyah Alleyne took sixth in the women's javelin throw with a distance of 137'11".
- The duo of Bridget Lee (4th) and Shakira Cadet (5th) placed consecutively in the women's long jump with leaps of 19'4" and 19'2.75", respectively.
- Ella Bosselman (6th) and Annika Zuschlag (7th) scored points in the women's 3K steeplechase finishing in 10:53.64 and 10:57.73, respectively.
- Alex Costantino (1st) and Lara Mannes Diaz De Cerio (9th) earned spots in the finals of the women's 1500m run with times of 4:29.00 and 4:32.34, respectively.
- Katelyn Gorgenyi's time of 14.31 in the women's 100m hurdles preliminary earned her a spot in the finals.
- Sadai Headley-Mawasi took the top spot in the women's 400m dash preliminary, securing a spot in the finals.
- Alexandria Scott's third-fastest time in the women's 400m hurdles at 1:00.66 earned her a spot in the finals.
- Headley-Mawasi also earned a finals spot in the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.10.
