Callen Powers earns the first weekly award of his career after pitching a complete game.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sophomore right-handed pitcher Callen Powers tabbed Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. It marks the first weekly award for Powers.
During the weekend series against George Mason, Powers dealt a complete game on Saturday in the 2-1 victory in game two. Going the distance for the first time in his career, Powers had a 0.00 ERA, allowing only one run on four hits, three walks and four strikeouts.
Powers and the Minutemen prepare for a midweek contest on Tuesday, April 22, in Hartford, Connecticut, against UConn at Dunkin' Park on 6:35 p.m.
