Massachusetts Men’s Track and Field Open's Indoor Season at Harvard Classic

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts men's track and field team kicked off their indoor season in impressive fashion, posting six top-three finishes at the Harvard Classic on Saturday in Cambridge.
Highlights from Competition:
- Collin Catherwood claimed the top spot in the men's 5k with a time of 13:58.38. Riley Cole (4th) also placed in the top five finishing in 14:52.25.
- First-years Kailas Ciatto (5th) and Alec Carew (7th) both scored for the Minutemen in the men's 3k with times of 8:44.17 and 8:46.20, respectively.
- Fellow first-year Riley Hubisz paced the men's mile, claiming gold with a time of 4:19.75. Tyler Medeiros finished shortly after, taking runner-up with a time of 4:22.01.
- Malcolm Clark claimed fourth in the men's 400m run with a time of 50.88.
- Colin Kirn secured gold in the men's 1k with a time of 2:30.05.
- Godot Gaskins claimed gold in the men's 500m run, finishing in 1:03.12.
- Quinn Hardt placed fifth in the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.27.
- The combination of Tyler Fortune, Michael Sanchez, Chris Scalia and Godot Gaskins claimed gold in the men's 4x440y relay with a time of 3:18.57. Mark Sten, Michael Harden, Elijah Wolinski and Noah Mulligan finished shortly after, earning bronze with a time of 3:20.94.
- Elijah Wolinski scored in the men's high jump, clearing 6'2.75, good enough for an 8th place finish.
- Owen Stevens took fifth in the men's long jump with a leap of 22'4.5"
- Hunter Feitel claimed bronze in the men's pole vault, clearing 15'1".
