Two Minutewomen Collect MAC Weekly Honors

Caroline Dickson earned Offensive Player of the Week, while Leah Nisenfeld received Goalkeeper of the Week accolades.

AMHERST, Mass. – Two members of the University of Massachusetts women's soccer team earned weekly awards, as announced by the Mid-American Conference, on Tuesday afternoon. Junior forward Caroline Dickson garnered Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while redshirt freshman goalkeeper Leah Nisenfeld collected Goalkeeper of the Week honors.

On a 1-0-1 week for the Minutewomen, Dickson tallied two goals for four points, while adding six shots, including three on goal in 114 minutes. Against Buffalo, the Danbury, Connecticut, native recorded her first career brace, notching both goals in the 2-0 win 58 seconds apart to total four points. The junior took a career-high five shots with three placed on goal. She also added one shot in the 0-0 draw with Eastern Michigan.

Nisenfeld posted a 0.00 goals-against-average and a 1.000 save percentage, while making eight saves in 180 minutes played. The redshirt freshman earned her fifth and sixth shutouts of the season with a 2-0 win over Buffalo and a 0-0 tie with Eastern Michigan.

UMass prepares for its final road stretch of the regular season, visiting Miami (OH) in Oxford, Ohio, on Thursday, October 16, at 7 p.m., before heading to Toledo, Ohio, on Sunday, October 19 for a 1 p.m. contest against Toledo.
