Mike Gervasi becomes the first Minuteman to earn the honor since 2012.

AMHERST, Mass. – Graduate student designated hitter Mike Gervasi has been selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Northeast All-Region Second Team, the organization announced on Tuesday morning. Gervasi is the first Minuteman to earn an ABCA All-Region nod since Joe Popielarczyk was honored in 2012.

Additionally, Gervasi becomes the first designated hitter to earn the accolade since Jim Macdonald was placed on the second team in 2009, and the first Minuteman to receive the honor with head coach Matt Reynolds at the helm.

Gervasi, an Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team member, started in 46 of 50 games played this season. He posted a .303 batting average, an on-base percentage of .402 and a team-best slugging percentage of .584. The Rockland, Massachusetts, native, registered 54 hits with five doubles a team-leading 15 home runs, which tied him for second in the A-10 Conference. Gervasi added 32 runs and 43 RBI in 178 at-bats, while totaling a team0best 104 bases.

During the 2024 season, the graduate student recorded a career-high two home runs in an 11-1 win at Seton Hall (3/24) and matched his career-best two long balls vs. Fordham (4/14) with a season-high four RBI. Gervasi also tallied a season-high four RBI in the series finale vs. Bucknell (2/25) early in the year. He clubbed a homer in the A-10 Championships against No. 7 Saint Joseph's (5/22).
