McGowan, Tosone Selected For IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

Fiona McGowan and Audra Tosone will play for their respective all-star teams on Saturday, June 1 in Sparks, Md.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse attacker Fiona McGowan and defender Audra Tosone were selected to the IWLCA All-Star Game on Wednesday afternoon. The pair will play for their respective squads on Saturday, June 1 at 10 a.m. on Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
McGowan (Westwood, Mass.) set a new UMass single season record with 56 assists and compiled a team-best 88 points as she earned her second straight Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year honor in 2024. The first-team all-conference pick finished the regular season ranked third among Division I leaders in assists per game and fifth in total assists. The attacker posted multiple assists in 14-of-18 contests during her graduate campaign, including three games with seven assists to go along with a season-best 10 points in a win over UConn. McGowan finished her UMass career with 127 assists to rank third all-time while her 247 career points is fourth-most in program history.
Tosone (Walpole, Mass.) earned her second consecutive Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year award after recording a team-leading 33 caused turnovers for a Minutewoman squad that ended the regular season ranked inside the top-30 nationally in scoring defense and caused turnovers per game. The two-time first-team all-conference selection became the second player in program history to record 100 or more caused turnover sin a career and finished her collegiate career with 114 caused turnovers to rank second all-time. The graduate student appeared in 70 games during her five seasons in Amherst and added 150 ground balls and 17 points for her career.
