Massachusetts Men's Track & Field Team Conclude Friar Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The University of Massachusetts men's track and field team sent 12 athletes to compete at the Friar Invitational on Friday night. The Minutemen were led by Liam Ouellette who placed fourth in the 5000m with the the third fastest time in school history.Â
Highlights from competition:
- Ouellette finished the 5K with a time of 14:02.14 while Carew came in eighth.
- Will Kenney was the top UMass finisher in the mile run, clocking in at 4:09.17 to finish 18th. The time is good for third all-time at UMass.
- In the 800m, freshman Colin Kirn led the way, coming in 15th with a time of 1:55.21 while teammate Nicholas Calitri came in 17th with a time of 1:55.81.
The Minutemen will have a quick turnaround as they return home for the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on Saturday, April 13th.
