BOSTON, Mass.- Seven members of the University of Massachusetts women's track and field team competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Saturday. Megan Frazee led the Minutewomen as the sophomore took second in Pole Vault with a jump of 11' 10.5".
Highlights from competition
- Katelyn Gorgenyi made the 60m hurdles finals where she took fifth. Her time of 8.79 is good for fifth all-time at UMass.
- UConn transfer Elise O'Leary placed 32nd in a 156 runner field for the 800m with a time of 2:11.99. The time puts her fourth all-time at UMass.
- In the shot put, Mattie Bishop came in 22nd with a mark of 39' 5.75" while Natalie Krysta placed 22nd with a throw of 36' 7.75".
- Jaliyah Burns came in tenth in the weight throw with a mark of 50' 4".
- Alex Costantino competed in the mile where she finished with a time of 5:03.71.
Next weekend, the Minutewomen will have a pair of meets, as the Harvard Elite Meet will take place on Friday, February 2nd, and BU's Scarlet and White Meet will be on Saturday February 3rd.
