Meet Primer
The UMass men's cross country team kicks off their season at home this Saturday, September 2, as they welcome AIC and Springfield College for the Ken O'Brien Invitational. In last year's meet, the Minutemen took nine out of the top-10 spots against WPI, highlighted by Surafel Mengist's winning time of 19 minutes, 35.50 seconds in the 6K. Head coach Tim Ritchie returns for his sixth season with a team consisting of four freshmen and 11 returnees . Of those returning is Mengist, as well as senior Michael Norberg who led the Minutemen in the Atlantic 10 Championships.
