Women’s Soccer Unveils 2023 Fall Schedule

The Minutewomen will host seven matches at home on Rudd Field.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's soccer and head coach Jason Dowiak announced the team's 2023 regular season schedule on XXXXX. The Minutewomen will take on two teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in the fall of 2022, as well as host seven matches at home on Rudd Field, where the team is 9-5-5 over the last two seasons.
UMass is set to play eight non-conference opponents with two of those games scheduled to be played at Rudd Field. The Minutewomen kick off the regular season with a four-game road stretch, beginning with a contest at Stony Brook on Thursday, August 17 in Long Island, New York. UMass then heads to Nashville, Tennessee, to face Vanderbilt, who reached the second round of the national tournament last year, on Sunday, Aug. 20. Massachusetts continues its road slate at UMass Lowell on Thursday, Aug. 24, and at Yale on Sunday, Aug. 27. UMass welcomes two non-conference opponents to Rudd Field, hosting Syracuse on Thursday, Aug. 31, for its home opener, before matching up against Bryant on Sunday, September 3, at Rudd Field. UMass wraps up out of league play with trips UAlbany on Thursday, Sept. 7, and Rutgers, who reached the first round of the NCAA Tournament last fall on Sunday, Sept.10.
Massachusetts begins Atlantic 10 competition on Thursday, September 14, against George Washington, returning to Rudd Field, as part of five home conference matches. The Minutewomen also host league foes VCU on Thursday, Sept. 21, Loyola Chicago on Sunday, October 1, St. Bonaventure on Sunday, Oct. 8, and Saint Joseph's on Thursday, Oct. 19. UMass will travel to Davidson on Sunday, Sept. 24, Duquesne on Thursday, Sept. 28, and Saint Louis on Oct. 12. The conference slate wraps up on Sunday, Oct. 22, on the road at Fordham.
