Jonglertrakul earned the Minutewomen’s lone point on the night.
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – University of Massachusetts tennis dropped a 4-1 match to Long Island University at the SPORTIME Bethpage on Saturday night. Thamonpan Jonglertrakul grabbed the lone point for UMass at No. 4 singles.
The Sharks took the doubles point quickly, which included a win by default at court No. 3. Anna Napadiy and Jonglertrakul fell, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles to Leopoldine Boisseau and Marion Deloziere of LIU. The duo of Melisa Senli and Mariya Krasakova led, 5-4, over their opponents on court No. 1, before going unfinished.
LIU headed into singles with ahead 2-0 with a win by default at court No. 6. UMass fell at No. 5 and No. 3 singles, before Jonglertrakul defeated LIU's Bianca Compuesto, 6-0, 6-3 at court No. 4. Senli and Krasakova went unfinished at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, as the match completed with a final score of 4-1.
