Four Minutemen competed on Friday, highlighted by Will Kenney's mile performance.

BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's track and field team sent four of its members to the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday, where Will Kenney entered the record books in the mile run.

Highlights from Competition:

  • Will Kenney took 47th place in the mile, crossing the finish line in 4:07.39, good for No. 4 all-time in program history in the event. Shane Grant followed in 4:11.63, good for 72nd place.

  • Michael Harden leapt 21' 0.5" to 11th place in the long jump.

  • Joachim Ennoo recorded a 43' 9.75" mark in the triple jump, good for ninth place.
     

The Minutemen return to action tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 28 as they stay in Boston for the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance.
