AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team welcomes in Duquesne for a 4 p.m. tip-off on Saturday afternoon in the Mullins Center presented by AIANE -- Dr. Jonathan Bayuk. Closing It Out
The Minutemen closed out Wednesday's win over Richmond on a 12-0 run and outscoring the Spiders 14-3 over the final 3:36 to come away with the 85-76 victory. Rahsool Diggins used one of his career-high four 3-pointers to tie at 76-76 before a one-handed Wildens Leveque slam on an alley-oop from Dyondre Dominguez gave UMass a lead that it would not surrender.

The Rook
RJ Luis poured in a career-high 23 points and went 9-for-10 from the line in the win over Richmond on Wednesday. The freshman has finished in double figures in all six of his Atlantic 10 appearances and is averaging 14.5 points per game in league action. Luis has upped his rebounds during league play as well and is averaging 4.7 rebounds per game in conference play.

Bench Boost
UMass ranks ninth nationally and leads the Atlantic 10 in bench points per game at 31.5 through 20 games played. RJ Luis leads the bench scoring attack with 10.1 points per game while Dyondre Dominguez adds 9.2 per contest.

Crashing The Boards
The Minutemen rank 18th in the nation and second in the A-10 in offensive rebounds per game at 13.2. Matt Cross leads the team in rebounding average at 6.8 while his 2.7 offensive rebounds per night ranks fourth in the league and in the top-90 nationally. UMass hauls in 38.6 rebounds per night to rank 38th in the country.

Sool Settling In
Rahsool Diggins reached double figures in scoring for the second consecutive game on Wednesday as he scored 12 points on a career-high four made 3-pointers while dishing out six assists and no turnovers. Diggins scored a career-high 15 points the game prior at Saint Joseph's in his return home to Philadelphia and is averaging 10.3 points per game over the last four.

Securing The Rock
The Minutemen tied their season-low for turnovers with seven in the win over Richmond, including just two turnovers in the final 20 minutes of play. UMass dished out 18 assists, led by six from Rahsool Diggins and five from RJ Luis.

Win No. 300
Head coach Frank Martin picked up his 300th collegiate coaching win on Jan. 25 in an 85-76 win over Richmond. Martin holds a 300-209 (.589) collegiate coaching mark, picking up 171 of his wins in 10 seasons at South Carolina while recording 117 wins in five seasons at Kansas State.

Kante Among Active Leaders
Isaac Kante ranks 34th among active DI leaders in career rebounds with 799 and ranks 39th in double-doubles with 21 in his career. Kante also holds a .582 field goal percentage to rank 44th-best among active leaders.

Looking Ahead
The Minutemen follow Saturday's matchup with three of their next four games on the road beginning with a 7 p.m. tip-off at George Mason on Wednesday evening. UMass returns home on Saturday, Feb. 4 for a nationally televised game against Davidson on USA Network before road games at Fordham and La Salle.
