AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team continues Atlantic 10 play on Wednesday night against La Salle. The Minutemen and Explorers tip off in the Mullins Center at 7 p.m. on NESN and ESPN+.

A-10 Rookie of the Week
RJ Luis earned his first Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week award on Monday after finishing last week with a 12.0 scoring average to go along with 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Luis scored 11 points and hauled in five rebounds in a win over Saint Louis last Wednesday. The guard finished tied for the team-lead in scoring at GW with 13 points to go along with career-bests in rebounds with eight and assists with five.

Welcome Back Fern
Noah Fernandes is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game since returning to the lineup after missing five games with injury. The guard is shooting 53-percent from the field and 43-percent from 3-point range since his return and has scored 13 or more in all three contests. Fernandes scored a season-high 26 points on 7-of-9 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line in a win over Saint Louis and added seven assists.

Bench Boost
UMass leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks ninth nationally in bench points per game at 32.9 per contest. Dyondre Dominguez leads the bench scoring attack with 8.8 points per game while RJ Luis adds 8.7 per game.

Series vs. La Salle
The Minutemen lead the all-time series against the Explorers with a 29-19 record dating back to the first meeting during the 1971-72 season. UMass has won six consecutive games against La Salle and won both of last year's matchups by six points. Five Minutemen finished in double figures in the 80-74 win at home in February, including Noah Fernandes with 10 points.

Board Men
UMass ranks third in the Atlantic 10 and 38th nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 12.6. The Minutemen are led on the boards by Matt Cross' 6.1 rebounds per night as part of five players who average 4.1 boards or more per game.

Still Dre
Dyondre Dominguez is having a career year for the Minutemen across the board, including career-best numbers in scoring with 8.8 points per game to go along. Dominguez is shooting 61-percent from the field to rank fourth in the Atlantic 10 in the category and is shooting 82-percent from the line and 37-percent from deep. The forward has tied his career-high in scoring with 15 twice and hauled in a career-best nine boards in two games this season.

Approaching 300
Head coach Frank Martin is two wins away from reaching 300 for his collegiate career and holds a 298-206 (.591) mark in 16 seasons. Martin won 171 games in 10 seasons at South Carolina and picked up 117 wins in five seasons at Kansas State.

Looking Ahead
The Minutemen conclude their two-game homestand on Saturday with a matchup against Rhode Island at 4:30 p.m. The game marks the first of three Legacy Games for the Minutemen where they will wear their throwback 'cursive U' uniforms. UMass follows the two-game home stretch with games on the road at VCU and Saint Joseph's.
