PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Massachusetts women's soccer team earned another point in the Atlantic 10 standings with a 1-1 draw at Saint Joseph's on Thursday evening at Sweeney Field. The draw marks the third consecutive result for the Minutewomen (2-4-5 Overall, 1-0-2 Atlantic 10) heading into Sunday's matchup at home against Dayton.

Lauren Bonavita put home her ninth goal of the season in the 53^rd-minute to give UMass a 1-0 lead, sending a shot in from the left side of goal after taking it away from the Hawks defense. The goal marked the 30^th of Bonavita's career and moved her one goal away from moving into the top-10 all-time at UMass in career goals.

The UMass offense attempted its first shot of the night in the 18^th-minute before tacking on four over the next five minutes, including shots on target from Bonavita and Karina Groff. The Minutewomen finished the opening half with a six to two shot advantage.

Both of Saint Joseph's shots in the first half came in the opening 11 minutes and were both blocked by UMass defenders. The Hawks were held without a shot until a header following a corner kick in the 46^th-minute. Natalie Nevins tied the game at 1-1 in the 63^rd-minute with a shot converted from the penalty spot.

UMass finished the night with an 11 to five shot advantage while putting four shots on target to Saint Joseph's two.

Bella Mendoza picked up a save in goal for the Minutewomen and came up with a key plate late as she came up to deny Saint Joseph's a chance at a shot in the 85^th-minute on a one-on-one opportunity.
