Massachusetts Baseball Ranked #2 In NEIBA Division I Coaches Poll

The Minutemen receive 32 points to land on the list.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts baseball team has been ranked second on the New England Division I College Baseball Coaches Poll, as announced by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA). The Minutemen received 32 points to land on the list.
UMass holds an overall record of 14-9-1 and a 5-1 record in the Atlantic 10. Massachusetts is currently on a four-game win streak and picked up its fourth straight weekend series victory after sweeping Fordham last weekend. The sweep over the Rams was the first sweep over any opponent in program history since the 2018 season, while being the first series sweep over a conference rival since the 2016 season.
The Minutemen follow behind UConn on the poll, as the Huskies earned seven votes and 45 points. UMass stands ahead of Northeastern (30 pts), Harvard (28 pts), Fairfield (17 pts), Central Connecticut State (12 pts) and Dartmouth College (four pts), in third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
Massachusetts travel to Brighton, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, April 12, to take on Boston College in the Baseball Beanpot Finals at 4 p.m., before hosting UMass Lowell on Wednesday, April 13, at Earl Lorden Field at 3 p.m.
