Massachusetts Women's Track And Field Captures Four First-Place Finishes At Saturday's Beacon Invitational

The Minutewomen's performances were highlighted with a 7th-best all-time mark and 27 top-eight finishes.
BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team headed to The TRACK at New Balance on Saturday for the Beacon Invitational. The squad recorded 27 top-eight finishes in their respective events.
Highlights from Competition
- Adriana Phan set a 7th-best all-time mark in the 60-meter hurdles, running to 3rd place in 8.92 seconds. Katelyn Gorgenyi (5th, 9.13 seconds), Elizabeth Lee (6th, 9.25 seconds), and Jennifer Williams (7th, 9.29 seconds) also recorded top-eight marks in the event.
- Faith Richardson won the 60-meter dash in 7.76 seconds, with Phan coming in 6th in 8.02 seconds.
- Elizabeth Hoenes (5th, 1:19.42) and Sarah Witt (6th, 1:20.44) were the two Minutewomen to score in the 500-meter run on the day.
- Elizabeth Donnelly won the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:15.40. Jennifer Nadig claimed 2nd in 2:18.27.
- Jaden Young raced to 8th place in the 1000-meter run in 3:07.86.
- Three Minutewomen scored in the 200-meter dash, including Richardson (3rd, 25.41 seconds), Kathryn Nippert (4th, 25.42 seconds), and Lillian Kirry (6th, 25.59 seconds).
- In the field, Gabriella Pagnini (2nd, 49' 1") and Voski Armenakyan (4th, 47' 10") were the top finishers in the weight throw.
- Pagnini claimed first in shot put with a 42' 6 3/4" mark, while Aaliyah Alleyne threw 35' 9 1/4" for 8th.
- Tiarra Deveaux was victorious in the long jump, leaping 17' 11 3/4". Jordan Lafave came in 4th place with a 17' 4 1/4" mark.
- Rose Wagner recorded a 3rd-place finish in pole vault (11' 6 1/4"), while Jessica Anderson (11' 0 1/4") and Grace Sciacca (10' 6 1/4") followed.
- Courtney Rowland was the runner-up in the high jump, clearing 5' 1", while Madelyn Krohto cleared 4' 11" for 5th.
- In the triple jump, Gabrielle Bilong leapt to 6th place with a 36' 6 3/4" mark.
Up Next
The Minutewomen return to action for the new year on Friday, January 13-14 as the multis head to the Harvard Multi Meet. Massachusetts will also host their own home meet at The TRACK at New Balance on Sunday, January 15.
