UMass Softball Releases 2023 Schedule

The Minutewomen open their season on February 10-12 at the UCF Tournament.
AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts softball team announced its 52-game slate for the 2023 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Minutewomen start the season off on February 10-12 at the UCF Tournament and host Saint Louis in the home opener at Sortino Field on April 1.
UMass begins the season with four tournaments, traveling to the Charleston Southern Tournament on February 17-19 and the Florida State Tournament on Mar. 3-5 for five games apiece before heading to Greenville, N.C. for the four-game ECU Tournament on March 11 and 12. The non-conference tournament schedule includes games against Georgia, Florida State, and UCF. The non-conference slate outside of tournament play includes matches against Boston College, UMass Lowell, and Providence.
The Minutewomen open up Atlantic 10 play in Philadelphia on March 18 as they take on Saint Joseph's in a two-day series. Away conference play continues as the squad heads to Dayton on March 25 and 26. UMass will also hit the road for a series against Fordham.
Massachusetts will host 18 games at Sortino Field this season, including conference series against five Atlantic 10 teams. Home play opens up with a three-game stretch against Saint Louis on April 1-2. The Minutewomen begin a nine-game home stretch against Loyola Chicago before hosting non-conference opponent Marist on April 12. The home stand wraps up with a three-game series against St. Bonaventure on April 15-16 and a non-league matchup against Boston University on April 19.
The Minutewomen will hit the road on April 22-23 as they take on Fordham before returning home to host Rhode Island, George Washington, and Merrimack. The regular season will conclude on May 5-6 in a three-game series at George Mason.
The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held on May 10-13 in Bronx, N.Y. at Fordham.
