Trio Of Minutewomen Collect Atlantic 10 Awards

Bonavita, Hislop and Curry earn end-of-season Atlantic 10 honors.
AMHERST, Mass. – Three members of the University of Massachusetts women's soccer team garnered Atlantic 10 honors, as announced by the league on Tuesday morning. Graduate student Lauren Bonavita tabbed All-Conference First Team, while freshman Nia Hislop and junior Ella Curry were selected to the All-Rookie and All-Academic Team, respectively.
Bonavita led the Minutewomen in goals and ranked third in the conference with 10 on the year. The Hanson, Mass., native scored five goals in league play, including a career-high matching two against Davidson and the game-winning goal at George Washington. The forward moved into the UMass' top-10 all-time career goals scored after notching her 10th of the season, putting her total at 31. She also sat atop the leaderboard for Massachusetts in points with 21, placing her in third in the A-10.
Hislop started in 13 of 19 games played, tallying over 905 minutes. The Concord, Mass., native recorded one point on one assist on the year, notching her first point of her career at George Washington. She registered 11 shots with four on target, totaling a career best four shots against Fordham, including a career-high of two on goal.
Curry earned the start in all 19 games this season, registering four points on two goals. She notched the game-winning goal vs. UAlbany. The Collegeville, Pennsylvania, native tallied 16 shots with five on goal. Curry is pursuing her bachelor's degree in chemistry.
