Gouldsbury, Mendoza Garner Atlantic 10 Weekly Honors

Olivia Gouldsbury was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week, while Bella Mendoza was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week.
AMHERST, Mass. - Olivia Gouldsbury and Bella Mendoza earned Atlantic 10 women's soccer weekly awards, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. Gouldsbury collected the league's Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Mendoza claimed Defensive Player of the Week.
Gouldsbury, a New Milford, N.J. native, scored a goal and added an assist on the week. The senior's goal was the game-winner over Duquesne on Thursday, while she notched her assist in a win against St. Bonaventure on Sunday. This is her first weekly league accolade of the season.
Mendoza, a San Ramon, Calif. native, recorded 16 saves on the week with two clean sheets as the Minutewomen recorded a pair of wins last week. In Thursday's 1-0 win over Duquesne, Mendoza stopped a season-high nine shots in the home win. The junior followed with another shutout in Sunday's 1-0 win at St. Bonaventure, coming up with seven saves in the win.
The Minutewomen return home to face the No. 11-ranked Saint Louis Billikens at home on Sunday, October 9 at 1 p.m. at Rudd Field. The match will be on ESPN+.
