Meet Primer
University of Massachusetts men's cross country heads to the Atlantic 10 Championships coming off a third-place finish out of 12 schools at the CCSU Mini Meet with a score of 78. Freshman Adam Thibodeau was the top finisher for the Minutemen in 14th overall in the field of 96 runners with a time of 15:14.9.Matthew George followed in 17th as UMass' No. 2, completing the 5K in 15:18.4. In the Minutemen's previous meet, the squad won the New England title with Surafel Mengist as UMass' lead runner for a third straight meet, placing ninth in 25:02 on the 8K course. Michael Norberg also finished in the top-10 in 10th overall at the New England Championships in the field of 130 competitors at 25:05.
