UMass was victorious at its own Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational with a score of 29 to beat out Boston University (34), Amherst (77) and Sacred Heart (120). Zach Lefever was the individual winner with a time of 19:08, leading the way as all five Minutemen scorers placed in the top-10. Following that performance Lefever was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week.

"We are excited to return to the Battle in Beantown to compete against some of the best teams in the country. This meet is on a familiar course, Franklin Park, which we will revisit two more times this season. We are excited to take our momentum from the win at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational and challenge ourselves against a very deep field of competitors."
