Meet Primer
UMass men's cross country will open up its fourth season under head coach Tim Ritchie this Saturday, September 4, when the squad heads to St. Albans, Vermont for its first ever trip to the Vermont invitational where the squad will square off against New England rivals UMass Lowell, Northeastern and Vermont. The Minutemen roster features 13 returnees and three newcomers, including just one senior and a graduate transfer in Zach Lefever who was a two-time NCAA First Round Qualifier in 3,000m Steeplechase at Pitt.

"We are excited to start our first full fall XC season in two years this weekend at Vermont! We will go up against three great regional rivals in Northeastern, Lowell and UVM. This will be an opportunity for our very deep sophomore class to take charge and set the tone for the season ahead. This meet will be a chance to gain some experience for these young athletes over 8K before we compete at full strength at our home opener on Sept 11."
