Massachusetts falls to Rams in 16-1 setback at Earl Lorden Field
Catcher Dylan Judd had two hits including an RBI single to end the season with an 18-game reached base streak. Center fielder Kevin Skagerlind, Hart, shortstop Chris Pearsons and first baseman Steve Luttazi added hits in the loss.
Rhode Island scored twice in the first inning and added insurance in the third to begin padding its lead. Massachusetts tallied its lone run in the bottom of the third, beginning with a one-out single by Skagerlind. Skagerlind stole second base with Judd at the dish, then scored when Judd poked a single through the left side.
For Rhode Island, Trystan Levesque earned the win on the mound and Bergeron took the loss for the Minutemen.
