Minutemen open Atlantic 10 Conference play vs. Saint Joseph's Friday
Ryan Coleman and Eddy Hart each contributed a pair of hits and Chris Pearsons scored the lone run for the Minutemen in the second inning.
Northeastern plated a single run to strike first in the top of the second, then pulled in front and swelled its lead with three spots in the third and fifth innings, one in the sixth and three more in the ninth.
Huskies starter David Stiehl was the winning pitcher, and the loss went to UMass' Zach Clevenger.
