Both Perry's 23 points and Breen's 17 boards were career-highs, with the latter the most by a Minutewoman this season. It was the most in a single game since Maggie Mulligan pulled down 19 rebounds in a game at Saint Louis on Feb. 27, 2018.

Perry gave Massachusetts a quick spark with 10 first quarter points on 5-of-6 shooting, as did Breen with six boards. That momentum carried into the second quarter and saw the Minutewomen cap the half with an 8-3 run. Sophomore Destiney Philoxy sent the squad into halftime with a 34-24 lead after hitting a jumper from the right elbow as time expired.
Massachusetts stretched its lead to as much as 20 three different times in the second half, the last coming when Perry connected on a trey for her career mark with 5:08 remaining on the clock.
Two Wildcats reached double-figure scoring in Cameron Tabor (14) and Ally Welling (10). Katie Turner's seven assists were a game-high and Sarah Konstans pulled down 12 rebounds in the loss.
In conjunction with UMass' annual Play4Kay game, the Minutewomen sported pink uniforms and shoes during Saturday's tilt. In addition, breast cancer survivor Heather Verdi, wife of UMass head coach Tory Verdi, was recognized as the game's honorary captain. Several video presentations took place in-game as both teams, along with officials and fans, joined together to spread cancer awareness and fight against the disease.
The Minutewomen continue a key stretch of A-10 play with a game at Saint Joseph's on Wed., Feb. 26 with game time scheduled for 7 p.m.
