Davidson Latest Addition To 2019-20 UMass Hockey Roster

The 5’10”, 174-pound forward from Kalamazoo, Michigan, joins the Minutemen after two seasons in the USHL.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey will welcome 5'10", 174-pound forward Jeremy Davidson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, this fall as a part of the squad's incoming freshman class, head coach Greg Carvel announced on Wednesday. Davidson is the sixth NLI signee for the Minutemen for 2019-20, joining fellow forwards Eric Faith, Calen Kiefiuk, Reed Lebster and Peyton Reeves and defenseman Zac Jones.
 
"Jeremy will add even more scoring depth for us at the forward position," said Carvel. "A proven goal scorer in the USHL, he has a big shot that we will definitely utilize. Jeremy also has a high compete level and gets around the ice well. He will be a tough player to play against. Jeremy committed to UMass a few years ago so we are excited to finally welcome him to our team."
 
Davidson spent both 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons playing in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and tallied 73 career points over 123 games on 37 goals and 36 assists as a member of the Central Illinois Flying Aces and the Fargo Force. Splitting the 2018-19 campaign between both squads, Davidson logged 24 goals and was Fargo's second leading scorer.
 
Prior to his time in the USHL, Davidson played prep hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's where he was previously teammates with Kiefiuk and rising UMass sophomore Bobby Trivigno. Davidson registered 48 points (19g, 29a) in 53 games at Shattuck St. Mary's in 2016-17.
