UMass Announces 2019 Women’s Soccer Schedule

Minutewomen to host seven home matches highlighted by Pittsburgh and Tennessee
AMHERST, Mass. – A total of seven home matches, including visits by ACC member Pittsburgh and Tennessee of the SEC, highlight the University of Massachusetts women's soccer 2019 schedule as announced today.
The Minutewomen will open the year with a pair of tune-up exhibition matches at Army (8/15) and at Rudd Field against Connecticut (8/18).
The official season opener will be on the road at Boston College (8/22), while the home opener will be against Pitt (9/1).
Five of UMass' home matches will come against A-10 rivals starting Sept. 22 against Richmond.
The Minutewomen enter the 2019 campaign after reaching the A-10 championship tournament for the first time since 2014 with an 11-6-1 overall record and a 6-3-1 mark during head coach Jason Dowiak's first year at the helm. UMass returns 2018 Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year Jenny Hipp, second-year starting keeper Peyton Ryan, and eight starters overall. Five of the top eight scorers return led by Hipp's 20 points while leading goal scorers Hipp, Bonavita, and Frisk are all back in the line-up after notching seven each a year ago.
