Boric Finishes Seventh At NCAA Zone A Championships

Maja Boric scored 525.25 to finish seventh in the 1-Meter Dive to lead a pair of Minutewomen.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Maja Boric scored 525.25 over 12 dives on her way to finishing seventh in the 1-Meter Dive on Tuesday afternoon at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships while Katie Polk scored 485.95 on her way to finishing 16th as both Minutewomen advanced to the finals with a pair of top-10 showings in the preliminary six dives.
Boric's score of 260.20 in the prelims sent the junior into the final six dives in ninth-place, climbing a pair of spots to finish seventh with a total six-dive score of 265.05 in the finals to mark her second-straight top-10 finish on the 1-Meter Boards at the zones after finishing fourth a season ago. Boric finished with the sixth-best average round score in the finals with an average dive of 44.18.
Polk scored 259.20 over her first six dives to head into the finals in 10th before finishing 16th with a 12-dive score of 485.95, advancing past the first six-dives for the second straight day after making a finals appearance yesterday in the 3-Meter Dive.
