Boric Finishes 41st In 1-Meter Dive At NCAA Championship

Maja Boric posted her best dives of the afternoon in the final two on her way to scoring 240.70.
AUSTIN, Texas – Maja Boric scored 240.70 to finish 41st in the 1-Meter Dive at the NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday afternoon at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center. Boric improved on her mark by over 20 points from a year ago at the national meet on the 1-Meter board as she entered the championship as the second UMass diver in program history to qualify multiple times.
Boric jumped two spots in the standings after the midway break to move into 42nd before eventually moving up two more spots to 40th after her best dive of the day. The junior recorded her best dive of the afternoon in her fifth go, scoring 45.60 on a reverse one-and-a-half somersault pike before putting in a score of 41.40 on her final attempt on her way to finishing in 41st.
