Polk Advances To Finals Of 3-Meter Dive, Finishes 16th At Zones

Katie Polk’s 12-dive score of 511.40 led the way for UMass in 16th while Maja Boric finished in 27th.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Katie Polk scores 511.40 over 12 dives to finish 16th overall on the 3-Meter boards at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship on Monday afternoon at Navy's Lejeune Hall while Maja Boric finished in 27th. The UMass duo will be back in the pool on the 1-Meter boards tomorrow afternoon beginning with the preliminary dives at noon.
Polk reached the finals with a six-dive score of 261.95 to stand in 12th after the preliminary rounds, scoring 56.00 on her best dive of the day to help put her through to the final round. Polk's 12th-place showing marked the best for the senior in her three appearances at the zones in the 3-Meter Dive.
Maja Boric finished 27th overall with a score of 240.30 in her six preliminary dives, posting her best individual dive score of 48.00 on the afternoon during her second dive.
