Last Time Out
The Minutewomen closed out back-to-back days of competition last weekend with a 195-102 win on the road over Fairfield. UMass claimed 13 event wins on the day, led by three from freshman Bella Snyder while Sydnee Aubin and Maja Boric each claimed a pair of individual wins. Boric led four Minutewoman divers to the top-four spots on each board Saturday as Beth Luther took second in the 1-Meter with Emma Petrovich taking the runner-up spot in the 3-Meter.
Rookie of the Week
Snyder was name the Atlantic 10 Women's Rookie of the Week after her performance in a pair of meets last weekend. The freshman capped off her weekend by winning the 200, 400 and 800 Free against Fairfield after adding a runner-up performance in the 500 Free a day prior against Army West Point. The weekly honor marks the first time that a UMass freshman has won the weekly honor since Maja Boric did so during the 2016-17 season.
Familiar Foe
UMass and Vermont meet up for the third consecutive year this weekend after the Minutewomen picked up a 194-106 win a season ago on the road while defeating the Catamounts in 2017 156-144 at home. The Minutewomen hold a 20-3 all-time series lead over Vermont dating back to the first meeting between the two programs during the 1975-76 season.
